Went to one of my local B&M stores today as I sometimes like to just browse around, and low and behold I found something I just couldn’t resist! Just as the Title suggests, they had these tins with 3 Fuente Fuente OpusX  Rare Estate Reserve 1992 Robustos in them. Being a cigar nut, and having smoked MANY different kinds of cigars, I have to shamefully say I have never tried an OpusX…. one of the reasons is because when I CAN find them online they are usually REALLY expensive ($23 a stick and up is what i normally find) and when I decide to pull the trigger and order one, they are all gone :-(

So today, I pulled the trigger, and got these for $48 plus tax… I just couldn’t pass it up. A review will soon follow (after I review the Gurkha Avenger G5 I promised in an earlier post) so stay tuned!

Here are some pics and the stock info, ENJOY!

Nestled in the rich, volcanic soil of the  Dominican Republic lies Chateau de la Fuente, home to the finest cigar of our time, the coveted Fuente Fuente OpusX. The mineral rich soils of the Dominican Republic, once deemed  unsuitable for wrapper tobacco, had never met with the expertise and tenacity of the Fuente family.  Together they cultivated a glorious wrapper tobacco that became the foundation for the infamous Fuente Fuente OpusX, the first ever Dominican Puro. Today Fuente Fuente OpusX is regarded as the pinnacle of cigar perfection, and the standard by which all cigars are measured. The unique combination of Fuente tobaccos produce flavors both smooth and bold, in harmony with the sweet lingering fullness of the exclusive Fuente Fuente OpusX wrapper tobacco.  Flawless construction, exquisite flavor and a century of mastery and tradition.
