This is an awesome cigar! I have never even heard of these until I came to this site, and Paul was generous enough to gift me one. First off, my non descriptive impression of this stick is simply WOW! I didn’t know what to expect, I went in totally unbiased other than hearing people saying they heard good things and wanted to try them. Thank you Paul, you are most generous!
Prelight: I noticed a very mild cedary tobacco smell to this cigar. nothing super potent, or overwhelming. Maybe some hints of grass as well. The cold draw was firm with the grassyness to it and tobacco as well
1/3: upon lighting this thing up, i noticed a cedary flavor and somethying I can only describe as sweet citrus as well as a faint hay and tobacco taste. Not too powerful, no real strong pepper / spice although present.
2/3: More of the same, with the exception of the cedary / woodsy note being more dominant, as well as a “dry” smoke. instead of making my mouth oily it was dry. I know nothing of the blend in this thing, but if I am not mistaken I think Piloto Cubano makes this happen? I could be wrong, don’t take my word for it.. either way, it’s a nice change of pace from my norm, I like!
3/3: Things get a little more interesting here. the flavors change up some, the smoke gets creamier, medium in body, but VERY smooth, sort of sweetness to it. it becomes more earthy as the woodsy flavors fade into the background some, and something else I can’t quite put a finger on.
In conclusion, I really enjoyed this cigar, in fact I want to try and find a 5er somewhere to pick up when funds get straight. I really enjoyed this cigar. I will mention that i may have cut it a lil funky, as you will see from the pics the head looks
like it was mauled by a tiger… ha ha other than that, trouble free!
